urgent help

hi all,

i' m a student who has currently registered before 30th june and am supposed to write my pe2 in may 2007.but now i've heard that i've to go for articleship for 18 months before i attempt my pe2 exam,i.e new scheme...

my question is:
1.whether existing students can merge with new scheme and do articleship

plz help me out in giving a prompt reply...this is very urgent
