please let the status of that person, if he is indian resident form 49a otherwise 49aa. 

simple words 49AA applicable to foreigners

he is a indian citizen...

but live more than 182 days out of india.....so whether i use 49a or 49aa

49 A is applicable to citizen of india, and also who is residing outside india

49 AA is applicable to foreign citizens.

so, in your case 49 A form is applicable, as your are citizen of india and residing outside india ( i think you dont have foreign citizenship, in that case only my opinion is applicable)

For this type of person (ie) reisent but engaged in emplyemnet outside india whether ITR required to file in India

If the individual is Non resident having

The income received or deemed to be received in India on his behalf, and

Income which accrues or arises or is deemed to accrue or arise in India during the previous year.

if there is any tds credit for the income earned in india then he has to file returns
