can I purchase goods from unregistered dealer inter state through RCM ?

you can't purchase taxable items without GST registration

Yes can be purchased. However, the seller is required to register if effecting Inter-state supply.

Yes you can't purchase taxable item as @ Muthu said but reason is unregistered dealers can not make interstate sale else they will fall U/s 24 compulsory registration..but u can purchase from registered dealer through RCM.

Mr. Ankit agree to certain extent. As registered dealer, a person can take delivery of goods from the seller (ex) and transport on its own from other State. In this case, there cannot be a restriction on a registered person to procure and move goods from one state to another.

@ Raju I am not able to understand what u want to say..As I can interpret u r talking about the transportation part..when the goods are being transported, transport is booked by the suppliers maximum time so there will be no restrictions in moving goods from one state to another..but if the transportation is book by the purchaser, at that time there will be no problem because only suppliers GST no. is sufficient for transportation..if I am wrong please correct me and provide the source of your explanation.

Hi.. The restriction is on the seller wherein the registration is mandatory. But for a buyer procuring goods from outside the State, there is no restriction. Hence, delivery can be taken and transported to his state.
