Unabsorbed depreciation
i read that unabsorbed depreciation can be utilised and set off against ANY head of income. does that even include salary income if a person along with his employement job carries on a business too.

No , unabsorbed depreciation can't be set off against the Salary Head.
Logic :- There can never be any loss under the head of salary. so where there is no loss then why the loss of other head will be utilised under the head of salary.
As we unabosbed dep can b cary fwd indefintly..and can b setof against any head of income except salary head

RESPECTED SIR THERE CANT BE LOSS UNDER HEAD SALARY DUE TO SET OFF OF UNABSORBED DEP. BECOZ DEP. WILL BE RESTRICTED TO THE AMT OF SALARY AND HENCE SALATY HEAD WILL SHOW NIL INCOME AND NOT LOSS..........REFER SEC 32(2)
