Unable to do aadhaar authentication for existing GST users

Recently, aadhaar authentication has been enabled for existing users also in GST portal. I am a proprietor.As per FAQ, my name should be auto-selected, since, I am the sole primary authorised signatory. However, though my name appears, it is not auto-selected. I cannot also select it. When I press 'send verification link', 'Select primary authorised signatory' message appears. Further, it is mentioned that I am not a citizen/resident of India. What the hell are they doing?
