Dear friends,

This is regarding a trust return where audit in Form 10B is applicable. I have filed the audit report and also filed the return. For everification, I am trying the aadhar OTP option which the system gives. However, it gives me the error "you are applicable for verification via dsc only". Please let me know if anyone else is also facing the same issue, and whether DSC is the only way to go. As far as my knowledge goes, there is no change in Rule 12, which states that trust returns (audited) can be filed using EVCs or aadhar OTP. Please help.

Trust return you hv to file your returns in time. Since you hv registered for dsc so your option is coming same.

Until the confusion is clarified you can dispatch physically signed itr-v to bangalore.

Dear Sabyasachi,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, we are filing in time, as due date for audit report is Sept 22 and return is Oct 22. As for DSC, the trustees have not obtained DSC so far, and they are not directors, etc. So we have not registered DSC so far for them.

Thank you for your reply. My principal concern is whether it will be accepted by CPC, and I am missing any statutory changes to verification of ITR for trusts.
