dear all,

EK TRANSPORTER KE CASE ME AGAR TRANSPORT KI BILLTY 20000/- HAI , OR PAN NUMBER NAHI HAI

KYA TDS 20% DEDUCT KARNA HOGA YA NAHI , OR AS per U/S 194C therehold limit 30000 or 75000/- ki limit work karegi. please urjent reply

Tds should not be deducted as it doesnt exceed the limit of 194C.(question of PAN provided or not does not arise in this case)

In case of a transportr , tds shall not b deductible if he provide his pan , 194c is not applicable to a transportr also thereshold limit is not apply on such person

Tds shall b deductible @ 20%

as per the latest circulations that are issued by ICAI and IT dept of INDIA there is not NECESSARY to DEDUCT any TDS on transportion Unless as per the section 194 C there is some contract between the contractor as well as contractee to provide some contract and nature of agreement is purely in contract nature then if the amount exceed the basic limit then there is a need to deduct TDS.
