Under Section 205A a dividend which has not been paid or claimed with 30 days from the date of declaration must be transferred within 7 days from the date of expiry of the said period of 30 days. every company must transfer the balance of the Dividend account to a special account.
1.whether above period of 30 days includes the date of AGM
2. whether above period of 7 days includes the date of expiry.
3. whether the dividend may be transferred on the 7th day (or upto 6th day) as above.
The query is If the AGM is held on say 10th September, 2009 what is the date upto which the amount of dividend account must be transferred to unpaid dividend account.
