I have a query regarding transfer of shares. I want to know what should be the share transfer number. As per my knowledge share transfer number is unique for all transfers on a single date i.e if we transfer 50,000 shares to 5 different transferees and 5 transferors on 07.05.15 the share transfer number should be 1 only.
But as per the opinion of our secretarial auditor share transfer number should be 1 to 5.
The issue arises on this para of Board Minutes for share transfer.
RESOLVED FURTHER THAT the transaction be duly entered in the Share Transfer Register vide Transfer No. 1, share certificates be issued and that the names of transferees be entered in the Register of Members.”
