Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the possibility of transferring articleship during the second year. It clarifies that a signed transfer form from the current principal is essential. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) permits transfers on specific grounds, including medical reasons, parental relocation, misconduct, or other justifiable circumstances. The consensus is that if your principal agrees and you have a valid personal reason, submitting the transfer form to ICAI should be straightforward.

1st of all, you need the signed transfer form from your principal. So you need to hard work for that . 2nd ICAI has provided certain grounds on the basis of which, you can take the transfer. 1. 1. Medical grounds requiring discontinuance of articles for a minimum period of three months (on production of a Medical Certificate issued by a Government Hospital). 2. Transfer of parent(s) to another city 3. Misconduct involving moral turpitude. 4. Other justifiable circumstances / reasons: -
