Dear All,

This is urgent and would really appreciate any help.

If I want to register the name of my partnership firm with the Registrar of Trademarks, can I apply for it in the name of my partnership firm, or will it be in the name of the partners only.

Also, in the documents to be attached, does the partnership deed or any previous documents showing the alteration in the partnership pattern to be attached??

and if I am not going through a trademark Agent, will I still have to fiela power of attroney? and in whose name? the partners' ??

Dear Vibha,

As far as I understood from your query, you mean to apply the name of your partnership firm as trademarks.

See one thing is very clear, first of all you need to know, what is the applicable class fro the activities of the firm, because normally name of the firm is trading style and not a trademarks unless your firm is providing services.

Now, in any case, if you are making application, you need to apply in the name of all the Partners trading as XYZ...... i.e your firms name.

As far as the deed is concerned, you need not file it.
