Quick Summary
If you're having trouble accessing your 26AS statement from the e-filing website, the issue might lie with the portal itself. You can bypass this by logging in directly to the TRACES website using your PAN and registered password. If you haven't registered on TRACES yet, you can do so before proceeding to access your tax information.

You can try directly from traces as a tax payer
There are inherent issues, I agree with you.

You can log in to the Traces website https://tdscpc.gov.in, enter your PAN, password registered with Traces, and log in. If you have not registered already with Traces, you can now register and then proceed.
