The ans is 15.

Ist bought half of 15 =7.5+0.5=8

remains 7

2nd bought half of 7=3.5+0.5=4

remains 3

3rd bought half of 3=1.5+0.5=2

remains 1

4th bought half of 1=0.5+0.5=1
