TIS showing interest payment for account not opened

The TIS provided by the income tax department shows  deposit interest payment for a fixed deposit account which I have not opened. Has anyone else faced a similar problem and if yes, how to fix it?

Quick Summary
The Income Tax Department's TIS is showing interest payments for a fixed deposit account that the user has not opened. This is a concerning issue, and the advice given is to first verify with the bank if an account was opened fraudulently in your name. If confirmed, then proceed to file feedback via the AIS report to correct the discrepancy with the tax department.

Go to AIS report & file feedback, if the account is not opened by you.

Have you checked first with the bank, whether someone opended an FD in your name / PAN / Aadhaar ?

Many cases happening, we read in the news.

After verification at the Bank, next do as per Dhirajlal Ji advice.
