Ur CPT exam is near now. SO, i hope ur preparing very well 4 ur studies. I had also Passed CPT Exam of Aug 07'. Therefore, I have some tips for u, which was helpful to u for the preparation of CPT Exam.

1) IF ur not from Maths background, then plz keep it in ur mind that u have to get passing marks out of 150.

2) Before Starting revision any chapter of accounts, first study whole theory of that chapter and then only solve 1 or two questions from examples. But solve Maximum questions from EXERCISE.

3) Prepare Mercantile Law Very well, because it was the only scoring subject after accounts. Contract Act is important one.

4)In economics 1st complete Macro economics then go for micro economics. Macro Economics aslo very scoring.

5) IN Quantitative Aptitude, Differentiation and integration, Correlation and regression and theoritical distribution is important one.

6) And make the Strategy to solve M. LAW paper 1st in examination, because u will get more time to solve accounts.

7) PLZ WORK hard in studies, because there is no Short cuts for Success. But u can do ur work Systematically, Which will help u 2 go to the path of Success.

ok, Bye 2 all. & all the very best for ur Exam.

it is a good one no doubt but i m not agree with your this point " IF ur not from Maths background, then plz keep it in ur mind that u have to get passing marks out of 150."

because i dont think it is immpossible to study maths .With the hard work  deep study and primary knowledge of maths you can learn the maths. I m telling it confidently b.coz one of  my friends having no contact with maths have passed CPT with good marks.

Apart of this your tips are very good and helpful for CPT students.

Anoop, i also agree with nikhita. Anyways you've done a good job. Keep it up.

Nice tips... but I think....

Besides study, practice is also of much importance. Every student should periodically cross check his/her preparation for exam. With such practice one can know weaker areas of study as well as strong topics, so that in final preparations a student can devote maximum time to weaker topics. Similarly practice reduces exam atmosphere pressure.
visit www.onlinetestangle.com  (Mock test for june cpt exam also available)
Recent survey on IIT students has revealed that nearly 80% students rely on mock tests while preparing for the exams. Not only IIT students but students of many entrance tests use mock test as one of the important perparation tool.

Thanx Pankaj for the link.
