Disciplined life style can work wonders in managing our stress

1)      TIME FOR SELF:

Most of the things appear to be difficult to be achieved; practically it is not that difficult. It is only fear of the unknown that mostly hampers in doing things rightly. We should keep ourselves and maintained using yoga and meditation. Smile helps by relaxing the person who smiles and its aroma spreads happiness around. We should learn to relax our mind and body to achieve our goals.

3)      PHONE CALLS & E-MAILS:

Technology has brought miracles to our life. Many times, we get an answer simply by browsing internet. We should know how to use technology and gadgets to get the maximum resourcefulness. The same is applicable to telecommunications gadgets and e-mail communications. Fancy and costly items need not be used and the investment will be limited and also for exposing to others costly cell phones with camera and computers need not be purchased. Unnecessary telephone calls and reading of e-mails can be avoided for saving time. Even in travel also you can plans your events by attending important phone calls and attending important e-mails and can save time in the busy traffic world.

4)      UNDETERRED FOCUS:

The success of any task depends on the involvement, dedication and focus invested on the work. By doing one work at a time we give focus to that work and for other works we need not thinking much and also need not give any focus. Best example for this is Arjuna, who focused only the bird’s eye with his arrows. Then we need to be focused and attentive to get the desired results to our present tasks. It is not advisable to take office work to residence and personal works to office. When you are in office focus on office work and when you are in residence concentrate on family obligation. This saves our time and keeps us focused on our respective roles.

5)      GOALS OF PRIORITY:

We should define our objectives in the order of their importance in our life. We should define our primary goals and secondary goals and secondary goals should not override the primary goals. The period also is to be defined for short term, medium term and long term primary and secondary goals. By maintaining a dairy these can be noted and a review also to be made and this will save us from deviation and keep us awake for importance work. Creative assignments must be accorded priority that can boost our career.

6)      USING PRIME TIME:

All of us have a prime time when we can focus well. Usually early hours will be the prime time. At that time the body and mind will co-operate with us fully and in good shape. At that time we can get good results. The prime time should be used for doing tasks leading to major goals of our life. We should avoid day dreaming during these prime hours. In office meetings are to be conducted whenever you can concentrate more on the issues.

7)      SAYING NO:

Trust worthy and reliable persons generally given more work both personally and professionally. Each human can have his own limitations for doing the work based on the time available to him. It is advisable to say no when additional work is entrusted to you. At later stage you may feel stress and strain because of over burden on you. If work also is overloaded you may not do the work properly and same time your reputation also may be effected. We have to be firm in our communications. Similarly, there may be a situation when we should take up a job voluntarily with a wide yes. It will add to our image and also go a long way to promoting us at our work place.

8)      AVOIDING PROCRASTINATION:

Delaying things will only lead to complications even in cases of simple tasks. There is an old adage “A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE”. We often postpone doing things till the eleventh hour and acts only when the situation turns into crisis. Timely action needs a simple and an easy effort, as we often give to procrastination in a work due to our attitude. E.g. dislike towards it. We must analyze our reasons for delaying works and try to be delegate a part of it that is not unpleasant for us.
