 Parents Sacrifice for Children

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow. He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.

"Come and play with me", the tree asked the boy.

"I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more" the boy replied.

"I want toys. I need money to buy them."

"Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money."

The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.

"Come and play with me" the tree said.

"I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?"

"Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house". So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.

"Come and play with me!" the tree said.

"I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?" said the man.

"Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy."

So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. "Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you", the tree said.

"No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite" the man replied.

"No more trunk for you to climb on".

"I am too old for that now" the man said.

"I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots," the tree said with tears.

"I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years," the man replied.

"Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest." The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story (Parents Sacrifice for Children) of everyone. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad. When we grow up, we leave them; only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.

No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted; we don't appreciate all they do for us, until it's too late.

thats the saddest ending of parent child relation..:-(, both go through same phases.., first child will be in need of care taker, maa and papa they do their best, now families choosing single child, but decades back.. one couple were able to look after 2 or 3 children happily, and when its parent is in need of someone to take care of them, not a single son will come forward to love and care them, they will have hundred excuses to escape from responsibility....

A beautiful relation of a parent and a child begins with a baby in angel's arms, and ends with angel at vrudhashram..:-(...

dont let the beautiful bond fade like this,

they taught you how to speak, so speak gently with them,

they taught you how to walk, be with them on every step,

they gave you education, proove them, you are educated......

Gautam, thanks for sharing a great message to youngsters, hope aap ki message thodi si rang zaroor layegi...

amazing heart touching story harsh reality of life PARENTS DO A LOT FOR THEIR CHILD WHICH WE CANNOT REPAY. BUT CAN BE REPAID ONLY BY SERVING THEM IN THEIR NEED i.e. in old days

very hurt touching story with a very good  message for all of us

thanks for sharing gautam ji

Very touching story Gautam da, very real in todays life. Parents sacrifice their whole life for their kids, but what they get in return. They dont ask us money or other material things, but they ask for love and care. Real eyeopeners for all the youngsters. Parents are most precious than any other relationships in life.

If you love your parents, and never had the chance to show them... do it. Maybe you have them there to show them how you feel. That if you don't and they leave today, and then tomorrow can be too late.

Heart touching one ...

Hi Gautam Dev,

Really heart touching story and thankful to share this story with us bhai..

"Keep the joy of loving God in your heart and share this joy with all you meet especially your family. Be holy – let us pray." - Mother Teresa.

" Your family and your love must be cultivated like a garden. Time, effort, and imagination must be summoned constantly to keep any relationship flourishing and growing ".

“ The family should be a closely knit group. The home should be a self-contained shelter of security; a kind of school where life’s basic lessons are taught; and a kind of church where God is honored; a place where wholesome recreation and simple pleasures are enjoyed.”

An Eye Opener for Me........

Thankx for POsting.....crying

Thanku for sharing.smile.

A hard core fact .... Really everyone need to give a thought of their own life stlye & behaviour to parents. Parents sacrifice a lot for us......they give almost everything for us...

Better late than Never, May be this story at this time be an eye opener for everyone & we can try appreciating / feel excited about the things our parents do for us. May be it could be hot tea/ coffee served by your mom amidst her sleep during night jus bec we are studying for your exams or it could be a prayer to god for us to clear the exams ... whatsoever it is....Its good that we always appreciates their efforts & love towards us ..

Also we need to spend quality time with them when we are free instead of always watching the big screens / jus having the gadget on hand....

Thanks Gautam for this wonderful post :)

Regards,

Priya
