Tibetan man sets himself on fire to protest China President visit to India..

A 26-year-old Tibetan man(Living in India since 2006) on Monday set himself on fire at Jantar Mantar, two days ahead of Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to India for the BRICS summit.

No one from media tried to save his life, but ran around him just to click photos and shoot videos so that their headlines would get perfect photos and videos.

For those who thinks this is fake , they can read this: https://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/tibetan-man-on-fire-protest-china-president-india/1/179615.html

A bitter truth.....

A petty reason perhaps why novelists more and more try to keep a distance from journalists is that novelists are trying to write the truth and journalists are trying to write fiction.

Oh My heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very Very shameful.......

Sach main.....

"Na gaalo ki na hoto ki.....na patlo ki na moto ki...

Yahan lagde, lule sab chalte hai, yahan baat hai sirf Noto ki"

how come one will be so heartless, I can see him clicking while one is burning himself..., Is he a human??!!! shame on you mankind, animals are better than us, when they see some danger, they give caution to other animals.., I feel the root of the problem is.. our purpose of education, career is just earning name, fame and money... dont worry abt other things...

@ harini didi..

I agree..

When i first saw this pic in newspaper i was thinking y no1 saved this person??

One can click photos but cant save him??

What's more important Money or Humanity???

Why money has taken so much importance in our life that we dont think abt what we are doing to others???nobroken heart

First of all the way of showing protest by this tibetan man is utter foolishness.

Why one should expect media people to help him?

Did that tibetan man tuned into a human fireball on anybody's compulsion?

He did it intentionally !

More over he was running after setting himself on fire.

will you tolerate somebody's nonsense acts at the cost of your duty (Studies) ? u wont!

then why to expect media people to undo their duty?

its only about making money  & being better than other competetitors for the media .........i cant believe ,they work only for name sake ,trp's  ................

BOSS LOOK AT THE PHOTO GRAFES NO OE CAN TOCH THAT KIND OF BURNING HUMAN (OR NETHING)

THE ONLY RESULT WILL BE U(THE ONE HELPING) WILL CATCH FIRE

M SURE THE PEOPLE EQUPED TO HELP WOULD HAVE HELPED THERE BEST!!(AS ALSO SEEN IN PICS POSTED BY SANKET)

STOP FANTASIZING THE UNREAL AND CRUAL WORLD

@ IYYAPAN : U CAN SAY THAT LOSING UR LIFE IS NOT A PROPER WAY TO PROTEST

BUT AT THE SAME TIME U WOULD ALSO APPRECIATE THAT U IN FACT NO ONE CAN EVEN DARE EVN LET OUR FINGER TIP BURN(OR HARM OURSELFES IN ANY OTHERWAY)

SO IF A MAN BURND HIMSELF THINK ABOUT HIS STATE OF MIND THAT HE WAS READY TO EVEN DIE FOR HES PEOPLE

THINK ABT THE RAGE AND ANGER AND DISGUST HE HAD IN MIND

HE WANTED TO BRING THE ISSUE TO OUR NOTICE (INDEPENDENCE OF TIBET FROM CHINA)

AND I MUST SAY HES DEATH WAS NOT USELESS IT SERVED HES PURPOSE

HIGH TIME FOR INDIA TO REALIZE THAT WE HAVE TO FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS AND LAND

LET IT BE TIBET OR KASHMIR

JAI HIND

PRESISLLY HE DID WHAT HE WANTED TO DO MANY OF US JUST CAME TO KNOW AFTER READING THIS NEWS THAT THERE IS SUCH A ISSUE IN TIBET

AND KEEP THIS INCENDENT IN MIND

U WILL GT THE RAL FEEL OF THE SONG)

A shameful truth

" IF A MAN BURND HIMSELF THINK ABOUT HIS STATE OF MIND THAT HE WAS READY TO EVEN DIE FOR HES PEOPLE

THINK ABT THE RAGE AND ANGER AND DISGUST HE HAD IN MIND " I agree, Dear Parth.

Such incidents tend to take me back in time to those days of our struggle for freedom. How many of our youths had perished along similar lines !!! And now, having the good fortune of being a citizen of an Independent Country, I've countless moments of security with which I can discuss the folly of such acts !!!!!

Some of us will try to be a  "Student" for the whole of our life, but will there be success for us? I wonder.

P.S.

@ Onam : I was right in my conviction that CCI would be a better place with persons like you in it. God bless you.

@ Mr. Sourav Sir, you have not said , is it right or wrong and please do throw light on media persons, having in mind, "What if you were present there"

My stand on the true face of media is implicitly stated through my above reply, dear Eklavya. I know you can get it. Still, as you want to know my explicit views, I put forward the same below.

Recording of this event was absolutely necessary to take the cause of the now deceased man to the world. So, the cameraman cannot be blamed for his action. But, how many cameramen were there? Clearly, more than one, given the fact that there are so many forms of the media and in each of those forms there are many sub-units. That's why, we see in the picture another photographer who was busy capturing the moment through his lense. But I also see in that picture the ever-curious common men, watching the whole incident from a distance. And I support neither the second cameraman( or many other who were out of frame) nor the crowd. Media, for long, has become a business of selling spicy news but who waits for those spice everyday? The spectators of the scene are just as guilty as the mediamen who were busy shooting the EVENT. And what were the police doing? Anything or anyone who lets such incident happen deserves highest condemnation.

I wonder, how can a man set himself ablaze and get 90% burn injury in front of the whole of the media and all those people and police who were there. Do you have any idea?

What do you think I would have done if I were there, dear Eklavya? You know me very well. What's your guess? Do you see me playing the role of a silent spectator or one who would try to save the man by whatever means that one may have at his disposal at that moment? I know what you would have done. Can you guess mine?

My point is the same, Sir, But did you see this thread, everyone is telling “Bitter Truth”, “Shameful Act” etc, for the act of Media Person, was the guy wrong in capturing the moment of truth (it happened so, it ought to be truth), it is presumed that where ever cameramen rolls his camera there ought to be crowd, then what was the crowd doing, why we people only blame Media Man, and more over, that particular Media Persons, could have never thought that his work could be looked upon as though some act of heinous crime, what he could have thought about could have been (again this is my thought that he might have thought this, at your will you may change his thought relatively to yours), to bring the true picture of agony of people of Tibet caused by the Mighty China, we in all this jumble forgot to think or write upon that, this is what we always do, leave the main game (culprit) and concentrate on lesser mortals,

We some time are right by saying that media people portray things with spice in it, again thats not their fault we are so lazy to even make out anything by seeing the incident, If same picture (which is posted in this thread) where to be shown on air, with the caption “The Heart-Less Camera Man” then we could have never thought about the Tibet or China, it is us who just flow with them, should not we ourselves make out the good or bad of that picture ?
