Termination during first year of articleship

Articleship 755 views 5 replies

Hi..

I'm currently pursuing my first year of articleship. Due to health issues I would like to terminate within 2months time. This is my 8th month of articleship. I've not yet completed my GMCS (As i have registered after May 2012). If I donot complete it and terminate right now, will this pose a problem when I rejoin after a year or two?

Do reply friends. Its urgent.

Thanks in advance.

Meera.

I also want to know whether I'll get credit of my completed period of articleship when I rejoin.

@ meera,

you can terminate articleship without any reasons/explanations to the I.C.A.I during the first year of articleship.

what u done the period of articleship is counted when u rejoin the   articleship under another practising memeber but your reasoning  must be supported by adequate evidences if it for years to re-join your articleship again.

Thank you for your reply. :-) But what kind of evidences should i produce when i rejoin? I've not yet completed my GMCS. Will dat be a problem if i terminate now?

No, GMCS form requires employers' sign and consent as a proof that you are doing articleship and that this is your first year of articleship...

It won't create any problem...but, i think that you should complete your GMCS first, then terminate from articleship...by submitting forms required...

Thanks a lot for your replies! :-)
