TDS with IT return!

While filing IT return of a trust for the first time, I am told that original TDS certificates (form 16A) of the same have to be attached with the IT return. Can anybody confirm this thing? As per my knowledge form 16A is the only document with the deductee which he can show in case of any dispute. So how come this new rule is made of attaching the same with the return.

Please attach Photocopies of the Form 16A (TDS Certificates) along with the Income Tax Return while filing it with the IT Department. No need to attach Original Certificates.

Check online. If credit of deduction of Tax is in your form 26AS then just print taht page and present it withh return but if in case its not then you have to provide orignal TDS Certificates...

@ gourav.............In the beginning itself I tried that only but since its a trust with a big name, I am not able to register Income tax website. While creating new accounts there is always an issue there of first name - middle name - surname not matching with their records. Otherwise there would have been no issue.

since the trust has its pan card, and registration with site will be done the basis of pan card, so get help of any CA, he will guide you to register.

well me myself have registered my family members account there on the income tax website. But in 'other than individual' cases, we dont know how the name of the entity is recorded in their database i.e what is the first name , middle name and surname in their database. Like the name of the trust I am talking about has 5 words in its name and I tried many permutation and combination but everytime its showing "your surname does not match with the data you entered".  So dont know where the problem lies.

try to use the form, and fill anything in your name, it will display your actual name registered with NSDL in pan data.

as it is referred as trust, so the whole name may come in 1st name only.

Thnx a lot sharmaji..........job done!

Dont know why it didnt come to my mind since I have use this method a lot during my articleship. But anyways, thnx for reminding.
