Hi All,

I have RPU and Java also installed.

After extracting RPU 5.0 , many files inside the file are still rar/zip format.

Original file in .Rar format

After extracting multiple.rar files

Is there any issue?

Windows version , Chrome, Java Version , or any program drivers issue ?

Hey Eswar! About your issue with RPU 5.0 files after extracting the original .rar file but still seeing multiple .rar or .zip files inside — here are some thoughts:

Why does this happen?

  • The original .rar you downloaded is often a container archive with multiple nested .rar or .zip files inside.

  • This is common for large packages or complex software bundles, where files are split into parts or sub-archives.

  • So after extracting the main .rar, you still need to extract the inner .rar or .zip files to get the final usable files.

What to check / do?

  1. Extract multiple times
You need to extract the nested .rar or .zip files again until you get the actual executable files or data files (like .jar, .exe, .X M L etc.).

  2. Use the right extraction tool

    • Use a reliable program like WinRAR or 7-Zip.

    • Sometimes Windows native extractor or Chrome's built-in downloader may not handle .rar files fully.

  3. Check file integrity

    • If files are corrupted or incomplete, extraction may fail or show partial archives.

    • Re-download the .rar file if you suspect corruption.

  4. Java & RPU compatibility

    • Make sure your Java version is compatible with RPU 5.0. Usually, Java 8 or above is recommended.

    • RPU uses Java to run, but extraction is unrelated to Java itself.

    • Java issues won't cause incomplete extraction but may cause runtime errors later.

  5. Windows / Chrome

    • Windows version or Chrome doesn't directly affect file extraction.

    • Just ensure no antivirus or browser settings are blocking full download or extraction.

Summary:

  • Multiple .rar or .zip files inside the extracted folder is normal.

  • Extract each .rar or .zip again until you get the final files.

  • Use WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract.

  • Check for file corruption or incomplete download.

  • Java version is for running RPU, not extraction.
