Hello 2 all

Suppose if i m paying rent for providing space for genset & premises rent as well to the same person.............but if genset space providing rent is less than threshold limit considered sepaerately so shud i deduct TDS (after considering both the rent amount as we are making payment to the same person) for example

Genset space rent ----8000/- PM

Premises rent----40000/-PM

so shud i deduct tds on both the amounts or only on the premises rent?

Pl. resolve this!

Dear Kumar Gaurav

TDS should be deducted from both the payments.

If not dedudcted that it will be goods tax planning by giving a building to an individual with a separate aggrement for each room or part of room/space in such a manner to defeat the provision of Income Tax.
