 Dear Friends Some of the branches of State Bank are opened on Sunday also with full working . It shows that Internet banking must be operational on sunday also. So see if tax can be deposited. 

 It has to be deposited on Saturday only. Correct me if i am wrong, there is no express provision in the Act regarding the due date falling on holiday. In such a case, the same has to be deposited before the due date. Moreover, as many have advised, you can pay it on sunday using net-banknig.

However, in case of any emergency holiday, the same can be deposited on the subsequent day without any penalty for the same.

As per general clause act, if last day of due date is sunday, next day we can make payment but we also should not forget that from this year payment of taxes through online payment gateway has become mandatory which is available 24 hours including sundays also so as per my opinion, if we give excuse of late payment by saying that last day is sunday will be wrong.
