Tds on works contracts
Supply of materials and labour both are included in works contracts.
My doubt is TDS has to deduct only on labour or on both labour and supply ?

As I understand, if material and labour components are bifurcated, then tax shall be deducted at source u/s 194C on labour alone. But if no separate figures can be ascertained, then tax shall be deducted on the whole amount.

Then TDS should be deducted on whole inclusive amt, shown in invoice.
