I am new in taxation field and for the first time dealing with TDS matter, kindly help me.
s it require to cut TDS on debenture trusteeship fees?If yes what is he rate?

Hi Gargi ,
Its in the nature of Professional Fees . So TDS u/s 194J @ 10% wef 1/10/2009 has to be deducted . If the credit and /or payment is prior to that , pls include surcharge and EC over and above 10% ( unless u plan to claim relief u/s 294 for surcharge & EC )

surcharge & cess has been abolished w.e.f 01.10.09 not 01.04.09.
