One of the company follow the practice of deducting TDS on the whole salary whereas they deduct the salary for the leaves of the employee, is it correct. I mean why the TDS deducted on the amount which I did not get. Please clarify.

the practise followed is incorrect.. you are absolutely right, TDS should be deducted on the net amount only that is being paid to the employees.. However, it is not applicable for notice pay deducted, if any..
It is purely wrong practise tds should be deducted on the salary recd. by the employee
