whether TDS has to be deducted on the plot rent paid to port trust. The plot is meant for stacking iron ore shipment material. As per sec 194J it covers land (factory land)? whether tds has to be deducted on the plot rent paid and at what rate on 1/4/2009 and on 1/10/2009? Kindly somebody clarify?
Yes TDS has to be deducted on the said plot. and the rates are as below.
as on 1.4.09 - 20%
as on 1.10.09 - 10%.
Kindly verfify once again.........
