Dear swami IATA stands for indian association of tourism?? If yes then i think it will be a fee. So if iata is a government organization then no need to deduct tax on the same. Regards.

Thanks for your earnest reply manoj! IATA stands for International Air Transport Association which is a trade association of all most all the airlines of the world. To become its member, prescribed fee has to be paid to this organisation. Fee is also required to be paid for registering changes in the ownership, name etc. My question is that when such a fee is paid, under what section TDS is attracted.

Sir it is a membership subscripttion fees and in my opinion will not come under tds sections and no need to deduct tds. Regards

Thank you very much manoj for your view on this issue.
