my client want to register on Alibaba .com which is Chinese e commerce company.
Alibaba is charging 99000+gst as membership fees for registering as a vendor.
whether my client need to deduct tds and if yes under which section.
I am also not sure about residential status of Alibaba.

Since the payment is to a Non resident, it could be liable for tax withholding. One need to go through the agreement to understand that taxability. having said this, there is exposure of Equalisation Levy also. A detailed analysis may be carried out
