HI,
My relative was filing his tax returns online and he noticed that the TDS on his FD did not add to the TDS on his salary at the end.
If anyone could help me understand why it did not add, i would greatly appreciate it.

Tds on fd while efiling

1) TDS detucted by the company where your relative is working should reflect in 26AS as a row.
This is different from the TDS detucted by the Bank.
2) The TDS detucted by each bank for every Fixed Deposit should reflect in 26AS in a different row.
TDS on FD has nothing to do with TDS detucted from the salary. The company has no relationship what so ever with Fixed Deposit in the Bank.
