i think you can revise your return , and carry the balance amount paid to the next quarter and mention the amount and challan number inyour next quarer return...pleaseconfirm with your TIN -FC before doing so, to be doubly confirmed

MR. MEGHDOOT YOU ARE DESCRIBING THE WAY TO CARRY FORWARD EXCESS SERVICE TAX NOT TDS.

REFER TO THE LINK BELOW.IT IS THE CIRCULAR REGARDING REFUND OF TDS DEPOSIT IN EXCESS.

THERE IS NO CIRCULAR OR WHATEVEER FOR REFUNF OF EXCESS INTEREST DEPOSITED.

THUS IT IS NOT CLEAR IN TERMS OF PROCEDURAL POINT OF VIEW THAT IT COULD BE REFUBDED OR NOT BUT THE SAME PROCEDURE COULD BE ADOPTED AS THERE IN CIRCULAR 285 DTD. 21-10-1980, WHOSE LINK IS GIVEN BELOW.

AT LEAST GIVE IT A TRY.
