Is TDS is Charge on Freight and Clearing also.
Should it be calculated on the total amount or on the different head like Handling Charges , CCG Charges etc.

Yes,
TDS applicable on Freight and Clearing u/s 194C on gross amount
Freight also called as transportation is not covered under TDS from April 2010 onwards.
Clearing charges are however covered and 2% has to be deducted on the gross amount.
Freight is not subject to TDS suject to submision of PAN
Agree with satish ji, i forget to mention if the transporter provide his pan TDS will not liable, in case not mentioning it will be flat 20%
