Dear Sir

We have paid online TDS (incometaxindia.gov.in) for the month of Sept 2010 through HDFC Bank. After finishing the transaction we were unable to save and print the Acknowledgement. So please suggest me:

1) How can I get Acknowledgement?

2) What are the problems we face if Acknowledgement unavailable?

You can take printout of the challans through HDFC Bank site or at the below mentioned path:

https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/oltas/servlet/TanSearch

Contact your HDFC Bank branch and ask them for copy of challan. Provide transaction reference no. and details of challan such as name, pan and amount to concerned officer. They may also ask a request for this copy through email

They will provide you copy of it. Generally they provide it on next day.
