I read in Vinod Gupta TDS chapter that this A.Y onwards Banks are not required to issue TDS certificates as the same need not be attached with ITR.
But then, how will a person assess & know that how much TDS is being cut when he gets payment on interest on FD??
banks will not issue TDS certificates but it files returns where it mentions TDS details which are deducted and one can obtain information based on that return...moreover one can ask bank or obtain from bank written letter on amount of interest recd..after deducting TDS..
yes, i jst recieved my tds certificate.
may be from nxt year they wont issue!
banks issue TDS certificate they display notice to the customers when TDS certificates are ready
