Tds demand

The company has received Intimation under section 200A for the TDS return filed during the Financial Year 2006-07.In the intimation the AO has demanded tax of around 9lakhs rupees.Demand notice under section 156 is also attached.Is this intimation a valid one?can the AO ask for TAX for the Assessment year 2007-08 now? Please help

sec 200a is something like sec:143(1). if u read proviso to sec 200a u will find  Provided that no intimation under this sub-section shall be sent after the expiry of one year from the end of the financial year in which the statement is filed

so,according to me  demand is not issue within time....

under section 201

No order shall be made under sub- section (1) deeming a person to be an assessee in default for failure to deduct the whole or any part of the tax at any time after the expiry of :

1) 2 years from the end of f.y in which such  statement is filed

2)4 years from the end of f.y in which payment is made or credit is given 

so four year have been passed therefore no order shall be made.....

Thank for reply.Basically you are talking about short deduction my case is of short payment.
