TDS deductable on what amount

TDS is deducted on gross amount except in the case of Rent it is deducted on net amount( without Service Tax)

No there is no change in the rates of TDS

But you say that in Rent only basic amount is liable for TDS so, it will be the same case for Hire charges of Machinery, Bus , Sumo etc. Please let me know the same.
