TDS console file not open in RPU 1.1

Changed the file Extention from TDS to tds.  It worked for me

RPU 1.1 console file import failures are usually caused by one of these:

1. Version mismatch: The RPU 1.1 console file format is tied to a specific version. If you generated the console file using an older TDS software or an older RPU and then try to import into a newer RPU (or vice versa), it will not open. Download the latest RPU version from the Protean website (https://www.protean-tinpan.com) under e-Services > TDS/TCS > TDS Returns. Always re-generate the console file from the updated RPU version.

2. Corrupted file: Re-export the TDS return data from your TDS software and generate the console file fresh. Do not copy-paste the file across drives without verifying integrity.

3. File type confusion: RPU 1.1 accepts the console file in .txt format. If the file extension is wrong or if it was accidentally renamed, import will fail.

4. Java version: RPU 1.1 requires Java 8 (JRE 1.8) or later. If the system Java is outdated or missing, the utility will crash on load. Check your Java version and update if needed.

Alternative: Use the TRACES offline utility if you only need to file a correction return. It has a simpler interface and does not require RPU.
