If we have filed the TDS Return on 15.06.2009 and we have mentioned the TDS return ack.numbers of tds certificates and the tds certificates are issued on 16.06.2009.
Thereafter, we found that, there is some mistake in return and needs to be revised. After revision of TDS certiicates, the ack.number changes.
Then what action is required for the already issued certificates. On new certificates, which tds return ack.no.to be mentioned ?
You need not be worried. You can file revised eTDS return and issue rectified TDS certificate with revised ack.number only to related persons. if you visit tin-nsdl.com and find status of quarter etds return, there it will show original and revised both ack.no. Thanks
Kindly guide on ack no. on Form 16, if any party issue Form 16 without Ack no. then that certificate is valid or not.
That certificate will be valid as the employer has deducted the TDS and paid & that he is certifing but it is always better to take ack. no as that is the proof that employer has filed eTDS return. and if eTDS return has been filed, TDS should be credited to your account and which you can verify by subscribing to formno. 26AS.
