I want to Know that wef 1st Oct No TDS is to be deducted for payments made to transporters engage in transporting goods and carriages. Is this also applicable to travel contractors which provides cars to the companies so that employees can travel from there residences to officeand back.

No. Its not applicable to them. TDS is deductible on such transporters.

Yes. Travelling agents are different from transport contractors......................
