whether we have to deduct TDS on purchase of packing cartons as per our specification ?

Purchase does not attarct for TDS provisions ( Section 192 to 195) under income tax act, 1961
If the purchase of cartons involves company name or other company specific data printing on those cartons then TDS will be attracted as it will be a contract for work and tax can be deducted under TDS - Contractor
