Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies that TCS (Tax Collected at Source) is a tax levied on the seller to collect from the buyer at the point of sale for specific goods. It is explicitly stated that TCS itself is not counted as income. The conversation then seeks clarification on a specific 'Section 206CD' related to TCS, but no information on such a section could be found.
Hey there , TCS is simply Tax collected at source which the seller has to collect from the buyer at the time of sale of specified goods and deposit to the Government. It will not be counted as income.
