Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the accounting treatment for Tax Collected at Source (TCS) on purchases. It explains that TCS should be classified under 'Duties & Taxes' if it's a payable amount. Conversely, if TCS is receivable, it should be recorded under 'Current Assets'. Examples are requested to illustrate when TCS on purchase becomes a receivable.

It would depend on whether TCS is a credit/debit for you. If TCS is a payable, to be grouped under Duties & Taxes and if receivable, under Current Assets

when tcs on purchase will be receivable?

Please give some example

Thanks
