salary is complicated  chapter. so try to discuss whatever u studied or your query with senior who can share knowledge and make a note of what u study .

as regard business profession there are lot of sections . so make a habbit of grasping section and its relevance.

one of the best way of studying taxation is to discuss everyday with your friend who is doing ca

revise first small chapters like TDS, Return filing, Advance tax and Interest

then start lenghty chapters..............revise on daily basis.

the best way to study salary or b/p is to make pictorial notes . this ll help u to grasp easily . u can memorise fast n ll retain in ur memory dat ll  last long.

the punches for TAXATION are its "SECTIONS"..... So, try to make a summary notes for them..

Then, as Raza said, try to finish off with the small chapters first so that they should not disturb u later... Later on, go with the 5 heads of income in a sequence only or take SALARY first of all.... As, it consist major importance...., then comes PGBP..

Thereafter, u can deal with the rest, like CAP. GAIN, IOS, etc... But during all this, keep revising ur sections, as they will help u remembering the topics too....

And TAX is not as difficult as it seems, many of the tax aspects we learn in our articleship, so that should not hinder u much...

try to do lengthy chap. in installmnts n cmplte smallr ones side by side..dis wl help..

Try to prepare notes and side by side solve practical problems as this will help u in understanding the concept well. Also it may be time consuming in the first instant. But once u r through with ur notes, it will take fraction of time to revise the same....
