Dear All,
I am working as an Internal Auditor with an International Development Agency. The agency is not registered in India. The funds are forwarded to grass root NGOs for developmental activities as per FCRA 1976 norms. Please do tell me the possible income tax applications on these institutions / organizations. Is there any other tax applicable on these institutions also?

If the organisation/agency is not registered in India u/s 12AA of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The jurisdictional AO is empowered to tax the organisation in the status of an AOP. So Please get the organization registered u/s 12AA of the Income-tax Act, immediately.
