Taxability of Dividend received from co operative society
Whether dividend received from co-operative society is taxable in the hands of member ?

it is exempted provided DDT has been paid by the society
But , DDT is applicable only to companies reg. under companies Act
even if it is a co operative society it has to pay DDT ....
Please , provide extract of any section to support this assertion
sorry I was wrong just a bit confused income by way of dividend from co operative society is exempted...
