Tax slab changes

The Chronology of Slab Rates are as follows:

AY 2015-16,  2016-17,  2017-18 - Current Slab Rates where B.E.L is Rs. 2.5 Lakhs

AY 2013-14,  2014-15 - Basic Exemption limit was Rs. 2Lakhs (for normal residents)

AY 2012-13 - B.E.L - Rs.1.80 Lakhs (for individuals); Separate slabs for resident woman assessees where B.E.L was Rs. 1.90 Lakhs; The new "Very Senior Citizen" slab was introduced.
