My father had received treatment for Chronic Kidney disease and had medical indoor expense about 62000. Can i claim this in 80DDB while filing ITR. I had reimbursed OPD claim other than this Claim from my employer.
and what is definition of dependent wholly and mainly.

My father is suffering Chronic Kidney Disease.
Confirm from doctor if it comes under above heads then amount except amount which is reimbursed will be eligible for standard deduction of 40k upto age of 60, 60k upto age of 80 and above 80 age will get Standard deduction of 80k.
