A person who was working in Abu dhabi, met with an accident and came to india for treatment. After 1 year he died in the hospital and his family received death compensation of 200000 AED. So my question is whether that compensation is taxable in india or not?

General Concept is that Income accrue or earn Outside india is not taxable & so remittance from foreign.
hence not taxable for assesee (his/her family also). But better answer will be given by experts.
Was there a contract that the company shall be liable to pay compensation to the legal heirs of the employee in the event of death of an employee? Did this accident occured in the workplace while carrying on the work of the company?
