who can be the tax practioner???
what is the procedure of being a tax practioner???
is there any authorised office to get enrolled for such profession???

Dear Members
I have submitted form form 39 along with educational certificates & 2 return acknowledgements to CIT of region. But IT Inspector has said that I have to attaind at least for 3 scrutiny cases & have to submite certificate for the same. After that CIT will take interview.
My question is - Can I practice as Tax Practioner before registration??? If not then how can I get cases for scrutiny???
IS REGISTRATION IS MANDETORY FOR TAX CONSULTANT????

A Tax Consultant license enables a person to lawfully prepare personal income tax returns in the State of Oregon for a fee as a self-employed or independent tax practitioner.
A licensed tax preparer may qualify to take the consultant examination after working a minimum of 1100 hours during at least two of the last five years in the capacity of a tax preparer. Preparers and employers should keep documentation of hours worked which are directly related to personal income tax preparation that may be counted toward meeting the work experience requirement to sit for the consultant examination.
