what is the definition of Tax period according to GST act?

if you file monthly return than month is tax period, if you file return quarterly then three months is tax period
tax period is the period for every return in which we have to furnish the tax details and have to the liability if any
Refer sec 2(106) of cgst act :
“tax period” means the period for which the return is required to be furnished
“tax period” means the period for which the return is required to be furnished
